phil&teds (www.philandteds.com) is on the hunt for a most excellent outdoor channel champion to drive sales for selected products in the "phil&teds", "Mountain Buggy" and "Whispbar" brands, through outdoor (and bike and running) channel.

Role & Responsibilities:
As our outdoor channel champion you will be charged with growing the business through the, outdoor, running and bike channels. Servicing the needs of our most excellent retail partners. This covers a very broad range of activities for the market including, but not limited to:
- servicing existing, as well as identifying potential new accounts
- formulating sales strategies, such as key account management
- delivering on territory sales budgets and marketing goals
- increasing the awareness of the brand in market and with retailers
- co-ordinating sales activities with marketing, the sales leader and country manager
- completing territory sales plans & budgets with the sales leader
- working with marketing to produce promotional sales communication materials where required
- product merchandising and in-store retail staff training
- attendance at trade & consumer shows as well as other marketing events
- substantial relationship management with key accounts
- in addition, the role will likely change and evolve over time, so you?ll be expected to be able to "adapt&survive" and be flexible in terms of meeting future needs
The position reports directly to the sales leader of phil&teds USA Inc.
Specific relationships within phil&teds include:
- our brand ambassadors, support staff, the marketing team, the country manager, product category marketers, warehousing, logistics and supply chain staff, in both the US and New Zealand (and the janitor, just to keep your feet on the ground).

- the role is based in Fort Collins, Colorado (voted #1 best place to live in the US in 2006 and #2 in 2008 by Money Magazine)
- you will be required to travel as part of this role; your territory covers the country. This will be mainly national, but some international travel may also be required
- on average approximately 5-10 business days per month of travel will be required
skills&experience
- flair, 'eelan, spirit! (You notice we put that first!)
- represent the company and its values with the utmost integrity
- excellent relationship building skills
- be an advocate of phil&teds philosophy, values & branding policies
- the ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- valid driver's license and no fears of; red-eye flights, the breakfast bar at Super 8 or wide open spaces
- a genuine "road warrior"
- appropriate selling & account management work experience covering large territories in the field of consumer goods, preferably in the outdoor channel
- tech savvy, computer literate and solid analytical abilities

Don't know the difference between a clip-on high chair & a hook on high chair? The difference between a portacrib and portapotty? With extensive, hands on training and some time at the "phil&teds university" you'll be a certified phil&teds head and motivated outdoor channel champion.

Base salary & performance bonus & expenses & a comprehensive benefits package including: medical coverage, pension plan etc. Package (base + bonus) will be commensurate with skills and experience between 50k-80k p.a. (plus benefits).
