General Position Summary:

As a senior member of the Footwear sales team, this position will manage all sales functions for assigned Northeast region Key Accounts to ensure the key account business grows according to sales projections. This includes account financial planning, assortment planning, developing and implementing sales plans, coordinating special product showings, working closely with customer service to resolve order issues, and managing the special makes requests for the key accounts.

Specific Job Skills/Knowledge:

Thorough knowledge of the Footwear Industry's marketing, sales theory, strategy, prospecting, territory planning, forecasting, use of sales aids, and closing techniques. Possesses thorough knowledge of product lines/services and sportswear industry. Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to organize work and motivate employees. Ability to analyze market conditions and respond with appropriate strategies and direction. Handles and works with proprietary, private and confidential information. Job typically involves continuous sitting, speaking face-to-face and by phone, and use of computer equipment. Must be physically able to lift or carry up to 10 lbs.

 

Education and/or Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Marketing and eight to ten years direct sales experience in the Footwear Key Account industry.
