150%'>Now we’re looking for an industrial designer to join our team. You’ll act as the advocate for aspects of product design that relate to end-user characteristics, needs and experience. You’ll participate in research activities to establish knowledge based on users, trends, materials and processes, and work closely with product management, engineering and marketing to design solutions that meet user needs while adding to the legacy of the Stanley brand.
We need you to bring:
= Minimum of 4 years of consumer product design experience
= Strong Sketching and conceptualization skills
= Mastery of 2D and 3D (preferably Solidworks) software tools
= Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
= Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
= Passion for the outdoors and gear
= Strong interpersonal skills at working effectively with individuals and large groups (internal and external) at all organizational levels
= Habit of taking the initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
= Solid knowledge of ‘Design for Manufacturability’ methods
= Advanced knowledge of product manufacturing including: plastic injection molding, metal forming, CMF techniques
= Direct experience communicating directly with engineers & factories (Asian factories Preferred)
