Perpetual Motion NW (PMNW) is seeking a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about the outdoors and wants to be part of a dynamic, innovative sales group. As a Sales Representative for PMNW you are responsible for all aspects of sales development and servicing for your dealers while building and strengthening long term partnerships. The Sales Representative must have a comprehensive understanding of their assigned territory and product lines including brand market potential and market comparison of competitive brands. The Sales Rep will be given seasonal sales goals and be expected to actively pursue prospective markets.
This Position will be based in Portland, Oregon and will require collaborating with the team in the PMNW's Fall City, WA main office several days each quarter. In addition, travel will be required up to 4 times a year throughout the territory with more frequent dealer visits in the greater Portland area.
General Responsibilities:
- Have full understanding and technical knowledge of all brands represented by PMNW
- Educate and motivate dealers and staff on a regular basis to sell products through regular line presentations, product knowledge clinics and merchandising plans.
- Achieve annual sell-in, sell-thru and ASAP goals
- Enter orders and submit to vendors in a timely manner
- Proactively develop new accounts and markets
- Actively leverage knowledge of competitors and customers to enhance competitiveness and ability to accelerate business growth
- Travel your assigned territory to service accounts at minimum 4 times a year
- Manage all customer activities through CRM tools
- Support retailers and vendors in local and regional demos and events
- Attend and participate in national and regional trade shows
- Attend and participate in annual vendor sales meetings
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years' experience in the outdoor retail industry
- Strong computer skills that show proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong communication skills with the proven ability to build long term relationships
- Must be an organized, self-directed individual highly motivated to
- Must be willing to work outside the standard business hours and 40-hour work week
- Must be willing to travel frequently for up to a week or more at a time
- Passionate about supporting and participating in outdoor activities
- Must have good vehicle and a valid driver 's license
