Darn Tough Vermont is an American manufacturer of premium, all-weather outdoor and lifestyle socks for every activity and every day, all of which carry the industry's only unconditional lifetime guarantee.
As our business continues growing, we are searching for an experienced marketer that will direct our Hike/Trek, Lifestyle and Work categories, as well develop new opportunities. You will deliver the strategy and insights enabling you to own the holistic plan encompassing long-term product innovation through near term activation, leading efforts across a cross-functional team. You will live and breathe all elements of your categories as our subject matter expert.
This key strategic role will report to the Director of Marketing to drive retail demand and consumer engagement in your categories, while leveraging our unique, relevant brand voice both domestically and internationally. You will have responsibility of ensuring the successful strategic category development is in line with the commercial objectives of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal and external champion for the Hike/Trek, Lifestyle and Work categories, as well as other new opportunities to be defined
- Own development and delivery of the annual category marketing plan, providing direction to and partnering with the Creative Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager. Activation may include advertising, email, events, PR, social media, strategic partnerships, trade communications, retail merchandising, and packaging.
- Drive the long-term category strategy via synthesizing marketplace trends, insights, data and assessing the competitive landscape " Communicate with Product Development to enable the translation of category knowledge into differentiated product offerings and positioning that resonates with the consumer target
- Collaborate with Sales to evolve category specific targeting, focus, communication and distribution
- Develop and manage the annual budget for each category
- Prepare and deliver presentations to support strategic planning, sell-in and sell-through
- Additional projects as identified

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related field with 7+ years of progressive Brand, Marketing or Product Management experience
- Demonstrated marketing/product management experience inclusive of both analytics and brand building, weaving together insights with influential creative execution
- Proven experience in strategic business planning, project management, leading teams, managing a budget and driving measurable results
- Strong prioritization, organization, and planning skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
- Ability to travel 15-20%
