Job Description & Requirements

Opportunity and Role: 

Guerrilla Gravity is looking for a junior-level staff accountant that is extremely detail oriented, ambitious, and has a passion for numbers. The ideal candidate will be someone who is (likely) new to their professional accounting career, but would one day like to be a Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO. They will be in charge of handling all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting of the company, including, but not limited to, coding transactions, reconciling bank statements, tracking actuals vs budgets, general reporting, and AP/AR. Additionally, they will be in charge of miscellaneous HR and administrative tasks. 


Skill sets and Requirements:

  • 1 – 3 years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in accounting or finance preferred

  • Knowledge of accounting theory, principles, and practices

  • Ability to describe accounting systems and processes in written correspondence and in procedure manual format

  • Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately and quickly, including computation of ratios and percentages

  • Proficient and knowledgeable in Excel or Sheets, with ability to present financial information in a clean, efficient, and accurate manner

  • Ability to prepare statistical reports, analyze financial reports, and make recommendations based on analysis and research

  • Strong priority management skills

  • Ability to learn new software quickly (bonus points for NetSuite experience)

  • Staying informed and current with bookkeeping, tax filing, HR standards, and other related government regulations

  • Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by maintaining compliance documentation and maintaining historical records by filing documents electronically

  • Managing and applying for available tax and funding incentives

  • Ability to problem solve and work independently

  • Attention to detail in everything you do with an obsession with quality, organization, and efficiency

  • Comfortable operating in an intense, fast-paced environment to deliver exceptional results

  • Drive to create and continually improve systems

  • Has good instincts--when you suggest approaches that nobody on the team has thought of, it immediately strikes everyone as obvious

  • Has a Funny Bone: We like people who have a sense of humor. We do like to have fun and poke fun at each other
