Job Description & Requirements

With the 2019 release of the Revved Carbon Technology, demand has skyrocketed and the company is expanding not only its manufacturing capabilities but is also still pushing the limits on how to make mountain bikes even more awesome. The R&D efforts and the advancement of the manufacturing technology platform is ongoing and continuous. Guerrilla Gravity is looking for a Design Engineer to work closing with our engineering team to expand manufacturing capabilities and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will be proficient in identifying solutions to difficult problems (no one’s ever made bikes like this before!) and have a passion for manufacturing, efficiency, and automation.

Skill Sets and Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, machine design, automation, hydraulics, R&D, and/or testing, but if you are exceptionally bright and perform at an advanced ability with less experience, you are still welcome to apply
  • Ability to get your hands dirty fabricating, assembling, disassembling, implementing and improving
  • Relevant 4-year engineering degree from an accredited engineering school
  • Experience or thorough understanding of PLC, automation, and robotics
  • Experience or thorough understanding of CNC machining, CAM programming, and DFM (design for manufacturing)
  • High level proficiency of using 3D CAD; we use Autodesk Fusion360 with legacy designs in Solidworks
  • Ability to read and create accurate engineering drawings with basic GD&T understanding
  • Proficient understanding of PDM/PLM software
  • Ability to continually improve manufacturing processes towards Six Sigma quality
  • Comfortable learning new software quickly
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Attention to detail in everything you do with an obsession with quality, organization, and efficiency
  • Is a “closer.” Problems go to this person and end up solved.
  • Project management experience, basic or advanced
  • Comfortable operating in an intense, fast-paced environment to deliver exceptional results
  • Drive to create and continually improve systems
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Has good instincts--when you suggest approaches that nobody on the team has thought of, it immediately strikes everyone as obvious
  • Has a Funny Bone: We like people who have a sense of humor. We do like to have fun and poke fun at each other
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Located in Denver Metro Area (position is based out of the Shredquarters)

    • Describe what lean manufacturing means to you and how you have helped move a manufacturing system to something more lean.
    • Describe how you would significantly improve the efficiency of a manufacturing process you have detailed experience with, specifically if you were to design and implement new automation equipment. Or if you have implemented such a system, describe it.
    • Explain your approach to designing new products.
  • Qualified candidates will have several working interview steps as we move forward
  • Please use only email during the application process--no phone calls or walk-ins
