The Packaging Coordinator drives packaging execution with design, detailed management of timelines, vendor correspondence, and key departmental approvals. Primary responsibilities include: creating, developing and managing packaging through all phases including artwork, general size and shape, vendor sourcing, material selection, etc. Ensures its quality, accuracy in technicalities, compliance with government regulations, documentation and aesthetically pleasing; sourcing and working with production vendor(s) to clarify markups and circulate artwork; maintains brand standards, and advocates for customer needs (both consumer and retailer) needs with the importance of design and communication in mind. Other general marketing team responsibilities may be required as time allows. This position will work closely with multiple departments throughout the process.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Marketing, Packaging or 3-5 years of directly related experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite
- A solid understanding of packaging materials
- Proactive in identifying challenges and offering smart solutions that meet the needs of the business
- Ability to cover many projects at the same time, often with tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills required.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with existing and future vendors
- Efficiency in letter/e-mail composition
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Self-starter
