We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our Ames, IA team!

Position Description

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) position is responsible for driving, leading, and supporting our sales actions and objectives. The primary objective and task of the ISR will be communicating over the phone, email, and via our ERP to drive sales and support to the dealer channel. The ISR may also be responsible for growing a target list of accounts in line with overall company financial goals. This position will collaborate with Cycle Force’s team of Independent Sales Representatives, and the Director of Sales and Marketing to come up with and implement sales initiatives for the specific regions. This position will provide tactical support for dealers and outside territory reps in your assigned region. The ISR will also provide support to direct-to-consumer customers as needed to help facilitate a positive brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports sales growth by working with dealers, independent sales representatives, and the VP of Sales & Marketing.
  • Responsible to turn offers into invoices
  • Consulting the customer, to ensure his understanding about core technical details
  • Manage fluctuating workflow within assigned territory.
  • Ensuring that territory accounts in the ERP database are accurate and up to date monthly.
  • Place orders from incoming calls from retailers via phone/email.
  • Build strong business partnerships with retailers and our independent sales representatives.
  • Promptly address consumer & retailer issues in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to be creative in solutions beyond his/her own area of responsibility.
  • Has a keen understanding of both current and future business goals and is able to make a decision that is right for the customer and for the business.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
  • Participate in developing and achieving departmental and corporate goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Travel to industry events and dealer events, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cycling products
  • Strong numbers driven mind
  • Ability to work in structures as well as understanding how to create structures
  • Proactive, self-motivated, problem solver
  • Proficient in Google Workplace (Gmail, Chat, Meet, Calendar; Drive for storage; Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, and stellar Customer Service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in phone sales (preferably in the bicycle industry).
  • Build strong business partnerships with retailers and independent outside sales representatives.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for cycling, outdoor sports, and sustainable transportation.
  • Strong knowledge of the company’s product line
