Position Purpose

Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager, this position will plan, execute, and coordinate content creation and distribution in print and digital media channels to increase product loyalty and awareness.

 

Essential Duties

=       Develops, administers, and maintains the written and visual aspects of brand presentation across various digital marketing channels ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adjusting based on end user interaction and behavior.

=       Writes and publishes copy for:  press releases, print ads, product marketing, email marketing, blog, general website, social media, and product packaging.  Must be familiar with web based CMS platforms.

=       Makes strategy recommendations based on web user analytics for improving overall brand marketing strategies.  Continuously improves by capturing and analyzing the appropriate metrics and then acting on that information in coordination with the Marketing Manager’s recommendations.

=        Coordinates with sponsorship staff for planning and receiving relevant content for usage in digital content marketing.

=       Manages usage rights for content provided by third parties.

=       Optimizes company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s content in the digital sphere.

=       Moderates all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.

=       Collaborates with third parties (media, sponsorship staff, TV/Competitive fishing personalities) to increase awareness of brands through campaign building, data mining, giveaways, etc.

=       Collaborates with marketing manager to create and maintain editorial and syndication schedules for digital and print marketing channels.

=       Assists in email database management, and consumer research projects as required.

=       Assists in and/or attends trade shows and events

=       All other duties as needed or assigned

 

Knowledge/Skills and Experience

  •        Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Business Management, or related field is required.
  •       2-5 years demonstrated experience in marketing role exhibiting proficiency in content planning, creation, and implementation in conjunction with overarching company brand and marketing strategies.
  •       Must have experience drafting sales and/or marketing copy (including press releases, email marketing, blog and/or web copy with consideration of SEO) for use in various digital marketing and print channels. HTML experience not required, but preferred.
  •       Proficiency in social media and web based CMS platforms required.
  •       Advanced Word, Excel, and Powerpoint skills.  Basic knowledge in graphic arts, Photo Shop, and video editing software.
  •       Prefer angler with knowledge of fishing/tackle industry.
  •       Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

 

Results of Actions

The incumbent’s skill and proficiencies will aid Eagle Claw and subsidiary brands in staying current with evolving digital trends. Key results will aid in developing a digital content development and distribution model that builds relationships with end consumers while simultaneously supporting sales through our current wholesale and distribution model.
