We currently have an excellent opportunity for process driven leader who enjoys developing and improving sytems that support and drive rapid growth to join our team as a Sales Ops Director in our Boulder, CO office.

Position Overview

The Sales Ops Director works alongside and supports the Sales Director and Sr. Manager of Digital, and leads the Retail and Digital Support Team, Warranty and Repair Team, and Technical Resource Manager. This position oversees all operational elements of the Sales function, including but not limited to; Sales Revenue Forecasting, Budgeting, Sales Reporting, and Seasonal Sales Calendar Planning and Program creation, deployment, and analysis. The Sales Ops Director will also work closely with Finance, Digital, Brand (marketing), and Operations on Planning, overseeing the development of programs and tools to support the business, and ensuring appropriate resources, processes and procedures are in place to achieve business objectives. This individual will exercise a strong understanding of Sea to Summit’s ethos – “to equip and inspire” and the companies operational and service philosophy, the outdoor industry business, and our strategic partnerships. The Sales Ops Director ensures Sea to Summit is constantly evolving to provide the best support to our employees, retailers and consumers, and preparing the team and internal systems for the future.

Position Duties & Requirements

  • Provide day-to-day management, leadership and coaching to a growing internal support team.
  • Evaluate, develop, and improve sales and support processes and tools to increase service and efficiency from the Retail and Digital teams to retail partners and consumers.
  • Ensure retail partners and consumers are appropriately supported working closely with Operations, and the Retail Sales and Digital Teams to ensure internal support structure, communication, analysis and management are aligned to Company objectives and set to maximize success and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive the development and evolution of tools, programs, team procedures and functions that create efficiency and success.
  • Lead development of seasonal and annual calendars, identifying key timelines and dates to ensure visibility across departments and support company objectives and strategies.
  • Understand the sales pipeline, go-to-market timelines, reporting needs and requirements of our Retail partners.
  • Identify process bottlenecks; drive evolution and system improvements.
  • Lead project rollouts for new tools and processes that increase the efficiency of our team.
  • Ensure Sea to Summit is always evolving to support the changing needs of the business and our Retailer Partners and Consumers, and that we are always meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Work directly with department leaders on critical strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue, sales productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Be a thought leader and go-to expert on resources and tools.
  • Work in tandem with various departments and maintain nimble attitude supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals, along with other duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

  • 7+ years of progressive sales analysis and sales operations experience 5+ years of managing individuals and teams
  • Proven ability to drive change including the ability to influence at all levels, streamline processes, integrate, and associate pieces of information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems with data, assumptions, and judgment using best practices and analysis to formulate solutions and make decisions.
  • Significant exposure to sales forecasting, budget and financial management processes
  • Ability to be assertive, show initiative, demonstrate personal accountability, take ownership of work, and apply learned concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate intricate job-related processes that ultimately affect decision making.
  • Excellent process management and organizational skills
  • Ability to managing data and systems such as the CRM and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong excel skills

This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package which include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401K match, paid time off, community service leave, paid holidays, RTD Pass, gear allowance and some other great perks. The salary range for this role is $94,317.91 - $141,476.86 with the starting salary at the lower to mid point of this range.

COVID Precaution - Temporarily Remote – this is an office-based position that is temporarily remote. This position will be remote until it is safe to return to the workplace, located in Boulder, Colorado, on a date TBD.
