Purpose of the Role

 

We seek

Develop and execute marketing activities and Joint Marketing Plans with key customers to drive brand awareness, customer engagement and sales for Suunto brand in the Americas.

 

A creative, motivated and highly organized marketing expert to join Suunto America’s team to own and drive all marketing for the region.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

=         Author, own and actively manage all marketing efforts with Key Retailers and interface with both internal and external customers

=         Closely collaborate with global marketing team to amplify global messaging, participate in brand / marketing meetings and commercial brief creation

=         Communicate and regionalize key initiatives and provide regional market insights/best practices

=         Create marketing support and collaterals to drive on-line and in-store excellence that results in increased sell-thru via: Joint Marketing Plan’s, integrated marketing calendars, activation planning, new product launches and brand story telling.

=         Support Key Account Managers with digital excellence, reviews, and product pages

=         Manage paid media, outside agencies and vendors   

=         Actively manage marketing budget and adjust spend

=         Collaborate with Key Account Managers and internal E-com team

=         Localize and deliver commercial / product / launch tool boxes, present to local sales team and support key retailer meetings 

=         Oversee Ambassador and Athlete program

 

Qualifications

Languages: proficiency in English

Computer skills: extensive command of Microsoft Office and Adobe CS

Degree: Master’s Degree in business with focus on marketing preferred

Travel: passport and able to travel domestic / international  

 

Skills and

competences

 

     5+ years marketing experience creating & driving campaigns in multiple channels for outdoor products

     Proven track record managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders

     Able to synthesize complex technologies into compelling user benefits and tell a compelling story

     Deep understanding of consumer behavior and best in practice technologies

     Budget planning, tracking, and reporting

     Strong digital marketing skillset and experience

     Sophisticated understanding of best in class marketing practices

     Vendor management and negotiation prowess

     Passion for outdoor activities and a get after it mentality

     Strong work ethic
