Job Description & Requirements
Be the category champion for Allite Bicycle Rim products
ensuring organizational alignment in regard to our target consumers and trends,
marketplace landscape including competition and retail channel and product
strategy with responsibility for defining critical features, costing and
delivery targets
Developing
successful products that are delivered on time to meet sales margin goals.
Maintaining excellent knowledge of competitors and industry trends.
Communicating product features/benefits clearly to broad audience of external
and internal customers. Collaborating with sales, finance, purchasing,
marketing and creative departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include
the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage the execution of
new product initiatives and/or core product improvements from inception to
market launch
=
Conduct competitive
analysis to understand the market and key opportunities to differentiate
product

Develop
product requirements
o
Compiling
and disseminating competitor product information
=
Define the consumer
target, positioning, key benefits and features
=
Lead and execute product
specification ensuring the product is innovative, class leading and appropriate
for tomorrows consumer
=
Lead the intercompany
product line management and related marketing and branding tasks
=
Actively participate in
research and share insights with the cross-functional teams
o
Providing
technical information to sales, purchasing, brand managers
=
Work closely with Industrial
Design, Engineering, our Asian development team and Quality Assurance on
executing the product
o
Communicating
clearly and daily with overseas suppliers
=
Lead product development
activities associated with the product launch
o
Delivering
accurate samples for photo shoots
=
Track project timeline
and ensure team is hitting key milestones
=
Lead development of
product packaging, partnering with Creative Team
=
Partner with Channel
Marketing to develop selling story for channel partners
=
Managing ongoing business
post launch, including tracking product performance
o
Collaborating
with warranty and customer service staff to resolve technical issues
o
Assisting
sales with clinics, training, store visits, etc.

Lead
the development and execution of the global warranty and service parts product
line list. Including identifying key service parts, item creation, material
master set up, and inventory forecasting

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
is preferred with a Marketing degree considered or equivalent work experience with
5+ years of product management experience. Bicycle industry experience is
preferred. Must be an active bike rider, regardless of category. Brand
management experience a plus. Must have solid decision making and
problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to compile, analyze and establish
facts and prepare recommendations. Must
possesses exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
and solid comprehension and listening skills while employing diplomacy and tact
in all situations. Ability to be self-motivated while maintaining positive
collaborative and effective working relationships and have excellent time
management and task prioritization skills required. Must adapt to changing/evolving priorities
and strategies, rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
and possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Experience working with Far East manufacturing
is preferred. This position will require approximately 10%
domestic travel and approximately 15% international travel. Must be able to obtain a valid passport.
