Job Description & Requirements
We are looking for a friendly, motivated mountain bike rider/enthusiast who would like to join our Purchasing and Operations Team. This person will assist the Purchasing and Operations Manager in planning, forecasting and purchasing components and consumables for production as well as the creation and maintenance of part numbers and BOMs.
Responsibilities
- Part number creation in existing ERP system
- Create and update information related to components, BOMS and finished goods in the ERP system
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of the component level forecast by model to calculate future requirements based on sales forecast and history
- Manage inventory levels for components and consumables that do not have a sales forecast
- Physical inventory data entry and verification
- Seek out efficiency through process and system improvements in relation to job duties
- Support several departments with the ability to effiiciently priortize in order to balance competing requests from the departments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and previous purchasing role experience preferred
- Strong knowledge base of bicycle parts and frames
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound decision making and problem solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience is a plus
