Sales Associate

Florida Gun Exchange is a major retailer of self-defense and sporting firearms with well over 10,000 firearms and a million rounds of ammo in stock. We strive to provide the absolute best customer service at all times, which has led to our location being a destination store for customers from all over the state of Florida. 

We are not necessarily looking for employees who know every little thing about firearms. We are looking for employees who have a positive can-do attitude, who are motivated to provide high level customer service to our customers, who can function in a fast-paced enviroment, and who have a desire to learn. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide customers with high level customer service.
• Advanced selling techniques to maximize sales generation.
• Ability to identify and satisfactorily resolve customer issues.
• Demonstrate product knowledge.
• Communicate any missed opportunities in sales due to equipment, product or merchandise to Leads or Store Management.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.
• Assist in keeping showroom merchandised properly.
• Take an active role in the cleaning and maintenance of the store and building.
• Ensure that every available product that is available for sale is displayed by regularly checking back stock.
• Ability to work as a team with other sales associates.

Job Requirements

• 1 or more years experience in a retail environment or equivalent relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well and manage duties under pressure.
• Ability to interact professionally, comfortably, and enthusiastically with customers.
• Extensive, advanced and/or specialized knowledge of the specific equipment, products, and/or merchandise sold in the assigned department.
• Firearms enthusiast preferred.
• Specific knowledge of ATF Form 4473 a plus.
• Ability to accurately complete detailed firearms transaction paperwork.
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Background check required.
