Role Overview: 

Without our warehouse team, people don’t get their gear. And without their gear, they don’t ski. The primary role of a first-year season warehouse associate (WH1) is to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately. This involves competence in picking, packing, and shipping products. High importance is placed on the speed and accuracy of processing the order queue. Additional primary responsibilities within the scope of this position include the detailed processing of inbound shipments from suppliers and customers. Additionally, the WH1 will be asked to restock and count inventory at the direction of senior staff and management. A WH1 employee will go through three phases of training with increasing responsibility as proficiency in each phase is demonstrated. This role will require an employee to have a work schedule with at least one weekend day and availability during major sales periods such as Black Friday/Cyber Monday, days surrounding Christmas and New Year's. 

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and accurately process daily customer orders and meet fulfillment deadlines
  • Process, document, and stock inbound shipments 
  • Complete daily tasks such as fulfilling restock reports and inventory counts, as directed by the Assistant Warehouse Manager/Inventory Specialist
  • General warehouse upkeep to maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory 
  • Motivation to work solo and as part of a team
  • Abide by established safety protocols

When you'll do it:

Starting in August/September and working until March 31, 2023. In March, staffing levels are evaluated and considerations about the next year are made. There may be an opportunity to stay on as a year-round employee of the shop based on performance, work ethic, and the needs of the shop.

 

Peak season schedule (September - March) consists of 4 x 10hr shifts (8AM-6PM) with 2 consecutive days off. Off-season schedule (April - September) consists of 4 x 8hr shifts (8AM-4PM). During both seasons you will be scheduled on at least one weekend day, which in ski shop speak means two weekdays off (read: no lines, no crowds, no I-70 traffic). You must be available to work through the holiday season. Retail, baby.
