Job Description & Requirements
Who are you? A highly motivated and organized individual who wants to be a part of our Warehouse Team. You understand the demands of e-commerce and are prepared to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment. You’re physically competent--you probably ski, board, run, bike, hike, swim, paraglide, sled dog race, or some combination of the above. If not, that’s fine, we’ll just have more to talk about if you do. You’re okay with working 10 hours on your feet and are able to lift 20-30lb. boxes (up to 75lb.) fast, frequently, and safely. You love problems because you’re creative with solutions, and you’re always looking for ways to make a good system better. If you don’t have familiarity with the ski industry that’s okay, we can work with that. We’ll teach you what you need to know to succeed.
Who are we? Today, we believe that we have the best ski shop in the Denver area as well as the best ecommerce ski shop in North America. We are open year round and continue to dedicate ourselves to skiing. We love biking, running, and everything else you can do on mountains but we like to try to be the best at something and that thing is helping skiers get the gear they need.
What you’ll do:
Pick, pack, and ship all things ski gear.
Recognize different shipping methods and sort accordingly.
Communicate with brand buyers and customer service reps.
Process incoming orders, checking for condition and accuracy, and filing correct documentation.
Prep, stock, re-stock and back stock inventory.
Invent and reinvent and re-reinvent ways to store incoming inventory. We’re growing, and it’s exciting. But that means we have to keep things moving and it’s our job to make sure they end up in logical places.
On that note, keep our multiple warehouse spaces clean and organized.
Create and audit storage labels.
Climb ladders--lots of ladders.
Learn about the latest ski gear, technology, and lifestyle. Not required, but it makes the job more fun.
When you’ll do it: Starting immediately and working until March 31, 2022. In March, staffing levels are evaluated and considerations about the next year are made. There may be an opportunity to stay on as a fulltime employee of the shop based on performance, work ethic, and the needs of the shop.
Peak season schedule (October - March) consists of 4 x 10hr shifts (8AM-6PM) with a guarantee of 2 consecutive days off. Off-season schedule (April - September) consists of 4 x 8hr shifts (8AM-4PM). During both seasons you will be scheduled on at least one weekend day, which in ski shop speak means two weekdays off (read: no lines, no crowds, no I-70 traffic). You must be available to work through the holiday season. Retail, baby.
What’s in it for you?
Professional level coffee/espresso machine.
Discounts on gear.
Access to industry perks.
Company outings and events.
Ski pass reimbursements.
Lots of free lunches.
A kitchen full of snacks
Delivering stoke to our customers one box at a time.
