The Position: C6 Outdoor: Product Manager for new camping gear company!
We are looking for a Product Manager to oversee global planning and execution of existing and new products in the camping category.

We're a camping gear startup that will launch with 40+ products 4th quarter 2021. Each of our products are unique and address "what camping should be..." The product line is anchored by the ground breaking "REV TENT." Our goal is to reinvent camp comfort in the overlanding / camping / outdoor adventure space. The founders are no strangers to this market having built one of the top brands in overlanding / camping before launching C6 Outdoor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage all products and manufacturing in the Camping Gear and Outdoor Leisure Furniture category.
• Expand our current portfolio by identifying and developing brand accurate, trend setting new products to bring to market.
•Manage the design evolution of current products.
• Be an expert on the market, consumers, and competitors to identify opportunities to grow this segment of our business.
• Select appropriate textiles & accessories based on product brief. Manage lab dip reviews and library.
• Review & approve all pre-pro samples to ensure design accuracy. Evaluate product construction for functionality & production efficiency; Field test products.
• Source manufacturing partners.
• BOM analysis
• Prepare & communicate sample revision notes for overseas factory partners.
• Tech pack creation.
• Maintains product sample library for all sample generations and organize for reference.
• Co-ordinate logistics with our shipping partners.
• Several times a year, travel internationally to work with factory partners to ensure that products meet design criteria and project deadlines. (When it’s safe again!)
YOU HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor Degree
• Degree in Design, Engineering, Materials or related field preferred
• At least 4 years of relevant Product Development and or Merchandising experience
• Excellent computer skills (MAC or PC)
• Outdoor adventure, car camping enthusiast a plus (But not necessarily a deal breaker).
YOU HAVE THESE SKILLS:
• Must have excellent communication and presentation skills - able to present product and strategy accurately and efficiently.
• Must have strong Excel and project management software skills.
• Self starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail. Accuracy and thoroughness is the cornerstone of this position.
• Keep a flexi-schedule to meet deadlines and manage overseas partners (which may mean working some evenings and weekends) – unsolicited.
• Initiative - Takes on additional responsibilities as needed.
