SR. MARKETING MANAGER
North Sails Global Marketing, Rhode Island, USA
Overview:
North Sails is in search of a Senior Marketing Manager to oversee our marketing department. Working as a strategic partner to the VP of Business Development, you’ll be the primary contact to lead our marketing team and are responsible for executing a global marketing plan while also supporting our vast network of local sail lofts. Our ideal candidate will have modern marketing experience and the ability to lead a global team of account managers, writers, designers, content creators and interact with various departments regularly.

Objectives of this Role:
This role encompasses evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and executing on a mar-comms schedule for growing awareness of our brand and industry-leading products.
Execute an effective schedule of online and offline marketing and communications initiatives, integrating online and new media, email, print, direct mail, social media, company websites, SEM/SEO strategy development, and brand storytelling
Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including developing and managing an annual marketing budget.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Marketing:
Directing the creation of compelling marketing and advertising campaigns to articulate product and service offerings, key benefits, and messages for use by sales and marketing
Drive campaign management for both global and local lead generation programs across multiple channels; including but not limited to seasonal promotional activities, product launches, segment-specific growth initiatives, and brand-building content campaigns
Create content for marketing collateral, website/blog/social media, and other initiatives
Assist with press releases, contributed articles, presentations, events, and conferences, and trade shows.
Work with global departments and local offices to identify product and client success stories and work with marketing to create appropriate content and collateral.
Department and Project Management:
Responsible for all aspects of marketing projects, including meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, budgeting, campaign analysis, and tracking/monitoring procedures
Establish and articulate project scope, strategy, and objectives to key stakeholders, production team, and wider marketing department
Manage creative production timeline of online and offline marketing assets, graphic design, video production, and web development, from the initial concept to finished product and execution
Drive efforts improving the efficiency and effectiveness of North Sails marketing
Drafting reports for the VP of Business Development and key stakeholders
Internal reporting and other duties as assigned
Vetting of creative for advertising campaigns for sign off by VP Business Development
Support local account manager and sail lofts with experiential marketing activities; in-loft activities, events, trade shows, etc.
Qualifications:
Intuitive, proactive, collaborative, leader, driver, creative problem solver, analytical, versatile professional to complement our “if the best exists, we use it. If it doesn’t, we will create it,” culture.
5-7 years of professional marketing experience with a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
A team leader with strong management skills in running a marketing team, with a willingness to share your knowledge to support the team and nurture more junior team members
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priority at one time
Experience working closely with a sales organization and have a strong affinity for sales team success.
Experienced in CDP/CRM programs (at North Sails, we use Bloomreach), CMS (WordPress), web conferencing tools, and expert-level proficiency with Microsoft or Google Suites.
Familiarity with data warehousing, business intelligence, or analytics is a plus.
Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
Attention to detail and upholding brand standards and consistency
Must be comfortable working in an open office environment
Willingness to travel and have flexible working hours to accommodate a global marketing team and network of local lofts
