    Summary/Objective 

    This position is responsible for providing business-critical insights using analytics in support of Ruffwear’s customers. The person will analyze customer’s demand pattern and understand operational factors (Efficiencies, Logistical needs, Information flow, etc.) to recommend inventory position strategy. The person acts as a liaison between Customer and Ruffwear to improve the flow of material throughout the supply chain. The position is also to support global inventory management to ensure that the right product is at the right place at the right time in the right quantity.


    Position Requirements 

    Key Customer Strategic Inventory Planning

    • Analyze/Communicate key account demand pattern.
    • Propose and execute short/long term inventory planning strategy.
    • Manage KPIs (Inventory Turn Over Ratio, Service Level, SKU performance, and any customer-specific indices).
    • Identify and evaluate inventory risks. 

    Sales Team Support

    • Work as a team to align goals and help build a business strategy.
    • Work closely with Sales reps utilizing account data to help direct sales and marketing efforts.
    • Build customized routine reports to strengthen communication and provide performance insights to reps and customers.
    • Account sales reports and internal sales reports. 
    • Strengthen the relationship between sales rep and buyer through critical insight that supports sound decisions and understanding of business.  

    Management Support

    • Provide analysis and insight to enable confident decision-making, align actions with company goals, and help develop business strategy. 
    • Build custom reports to help communicate performance and identify trends.

    Supply Plan Management Support

    • Support Global Purchasing Manager and Supply Chain Analyst in all activities.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting (Ruffwear office or home office as necessary).


    Travel

    • Occasional domestic travel will be required.


    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business.
    • Five years of data analysis and planning experience. 
    • A combination of years of experience and education may be taken into consideration.
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills and strong analytical skills.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to create and implement effective processes and procedures.
    • Highly proficient working with spreadsheets to include formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables.  Skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.
    • Must possess strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, close attention to detail, and be flexible.
    • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
    • Passion for dogs and first-hand understanding of the interactive bond between canines and humans.


    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Experience with NetSuite.
    • Experience in using an ERP System.
    • Experience in the outdoor and/or consumer products industry.
    • Passion for the outdoors.
