VAAST Bikes is a fast growing and innovative brand in the UWI portfolio focused on global growth via digital and direct to consumer channels while maintaining a strong and differentiated presence in more than 300 specialty retailers across the globe. VAAST bikes is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to support our aggressive growth. The person in this role will create and maintain the foundation for delivering innovative marketing initiatives for VAAST Bikes. They will work with the General Manager, Head of DTC, Specialty Retail Marketing Team, Shared Marketing Services, Sales and Product teams to establish and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives to support brand growth and accelerate sales (Brand initiatives, Advertising Campaigns, Social Media Efforts, Email Marketing, PR, Websites, App, Tradeshow and Consumer Events, etc.) including product launches, sales initiatives, etc. They will determine marketing specifications, competitive analyses, market summaries and like data to create and implement marketing campaigns and initiatives and reach the right consumers in the most impactful way. They will monitor and assesses the performance of marketing campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement.  The ideal candidate will have experience in eCommerce, and have a multidisciplinary background to include business strategy, product marketing, content creation and analytical skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Brand & Product Marketing

·    Develop and maintain overall brand position through effective copywriting, photography, and videography, generated either in house or by outside agency

·    Identify and satisfy brand collateral needs to support domestic sales force and global sales offices, including sales sheets, price sheets, catalogs, and printed and promotional items.

·   Manage and maintain all brand social media accounts

·    Oversee content creation for brand, ensuring brand-consistent voice and globally relevant messaging

·    Communicate the brand voice and positioning within the organization and in front of the consumer

·    Manage marketing communication efforts for the brand, including paid media, earned media, events and activations, tradeshows, email, and ambassador/influencer relationships

·    Manage brand product sample needs in support of sales, event activations, content creation, ambassador relationships, and media/PR

·     Respond to consumer questions in an efficient manner utilizing best practices to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

·    Lead brand PR strategy while forming and maintaining strong relationships with media personnel.


Market & Sales support

·    Maintain a thorough knowledge of retailer, consumer and competitive market trends and category sales status

·    Assess the market competition and develop competitive response strategies

·    Prepare marketing support materials needed for product success

·    Develop and maintain a marketing calendar including all planned campaigns, content publication across marketing channels, product launches, event marketing, etc.

·    Coordinate, review and maintain brand website content for accuracy and alignment with marketing calendar

·    Partner with internal and external teams to orchestrate the creation of sales materials and marketing assets

·    Gather and analyze data related to consumers (web & app traffic, advertising impact, SEO & SEM, etc.) to measure performance and optimize content distribution and effectiveness

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.



·     3-5 years of eCommerce, business strategy, product marketing, product management, or media buying experience.

·    Experience participating in the development of marketing strategies and marketing campaigns

·    Experience working with cross-functional teams across the globe

·    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience influencing decision makers

·    BA/BS or equivalent work experience


·    Knowledge of web design, web development, SEO/SEM

·    Direct experience in Social Media, Influencer Marketing and/or Media Buying

·    Actively engaged in the cycling or outdoor sports industry

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communication, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations.  3-5 years’ experience (internship work accepted).


Must possess friendly and courteous customer service skills; excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good grammar, voice and diction, ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires quick decisions to be made; and, in-depth product knowledge. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.  Experience in social media marketing or within digital media preferred.  Knowledge of web design, web development, SEO/SEM a plus.

Individual must possess a passion for productivity and a desire to learn from the ground up.

This position may require approximately 5 to 10% of domestic travel.
