Job Description & Requirements

The opportunity:

As the Sales Manager, you will provide the go-to-market strategic direction for the company. This position is critical to the growth of the company. You will need to understand the sports optics market, plan and implement a disciplined approach to capture opportunity and drive top-line sales. You will also need to ensure customer satisfaction and continued growth. You will need to provide customer and market insights to help the company develop new and innovative products to stay ahead of the market trends.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze current landscape, develop effective sales strategies, provide appropriate solutions, and break into competitive accounts to gain new business
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from gathering requirements to prototyping products, and delivery to ensure the excellent customer experience 
  • Build and maintain client base and relationships
  • Communicate effectively with other cross-functional teams including design, quality control, development, and other teams to ensure the success of the deliverables
  • Meet the company's sales goals across the U.S. and international markets.
  • Gather customer feedback and market insights and contribute to new product requirement gathering
  • Be a subject-matter expert on the outbound sales segment(s), including market requirements, applicable regulations, industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher Preferred
  • 3-5 years of sporting goods business-to-business sales experience required
  • Existing Optics industry experience is preferred     
  • Motivated, self-starter, strategic thinker, and able to work with minimal supervision at home office
  • Requires 30% TRAVEL including international travel, occasional evening hours as needed.
