We are currently looking for a Store Manager to join our team at the beginning of 2026. This position will involve all aspects of the daily running of a successful outdoor specialty retailer including merchandising, marketing, purchasing, hiring and team development and special event coordination. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide exceptional customer service through mentoring team members and leading as an example on the floor.
  • Hire, train, and schedule staff while maintaining payroll targets.
  • Achieve targets for sales, margins, customer service, and conversion rate.
  • Execute and oversee daily store operations, including financial reporting, analysis, and coaching for success plans.
  • Sales tracking and inventory supply management.
  • Coordinate with our Marketing Director to produce social media content and execute marketing strategies.
  • Monitor sales growth and profit margin objectives consistently in all channels of business.
  • Organize and execute in-store sales, promotions, and events.
  • Work with our Buyer to help identify the best brands, products, and successfully merchandise them.
  • Build strong and mutually productive partnerships with suppliers and industry sales representatives.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Ideally you will have:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a specialty gear and apparel operation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Merchandising skills and experience.
  • Marketing skills and financial acumen.
  • Scheduling flexibility including nights and weekends.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and delegate.
  • Exhibit a high degree of flexibility, maintain a solution-driven focus in challenging situations, and adapt quickly to changing business requirements.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems.
