Job Description & Requirements

Position:                   Independent Sales Representative                       

Reports To:              Sales Manager

 

Job Summary

Mazama Designs, LLC (based in Bend, OR) has been designing, and manufacturing state-of-the-art Hydration Reservoirs and Accessories for many years. We are now on a fast track to grow our Sales and the Mazama Designs Brand. We are looking for Independent Sales Reps to cover two regions: New England States, and Mid-Atlantic States. Duties include generating leads to drive Sales, meeting with customers in Territory to show the product line, and attending Trade Shows. Being a “product person” who knows, uses, and appreciates great product design is a plus!

 

Job Responsibilities

Maintain and increase sales volume to assigned sales territories.

Meet with Customers in Territory, Digitally and at Trade Shows to show products and generate Orders.

Communicate with Mazama Designs staff & Management to provide Territory Sales information, and Customer feedback.

Assist Customers in placing Orders, and provide follow up information as needed

Develop, and maintain effective, positive working relationships with Customers.

Assist in resolving customer issues when needed.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Mazama Design’ products and programs.

Exhibit familiarity with the functions of Mazama Design’s B2B and consumer websites.

Represent Mazama Designs at Trade Shows and consumer events.

Submit any special reports in a timely fashion.

 

 Job Qualifications 

Outdoor Industry experience necessary. 

Strong sales skills are essential.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Attention to detail, and timely follow through characteristics are important

Highly organized with good time management skills.

SKILLS:

Applicants should have EXCELLENT phone, virtual, & in-person communication skills.

Experience working with B2B customers of various sizes

Professional writing & email etiquette

Extended knowledge & experience in outdoor gear & recreation.

Ability to meet deadlines
