JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job title: Multi Territory Independent Sales Representative: Evolv

SUMMARY OF POSITION

 

Oberalp NA is seeking (2) Independent Sales Reps in two separate territories for the premium climbing shoe and accessories brand EVOLV.   Representation is wanted in the Southwest and Northwest United States.  

 

The Territory Independent Representative is a multidisciplinary role responsible for delivering best in class sales and account services for the EVOLV brand at wholesale. This position demands a well-balanced professional focused on achieving meaningful and measurable growth, while nurturing long-lasting relationships.

 

Under direction of the Sales Management team, the  Sales Representative is tasked with actualizing key sales initiatives during sell-in and sell-out campaigns. The position is responsible for managing and servicing all aspects of their account base including, but not limited to order entry, order processing, warranty requests, sales clinics, and sales presentations.

 

The Sales Representative will join a team of highly motivated and hardworking individuals that have a passion for the outdoor industry and being part of a forward-thinking family-owned brand.

 

 

 

 

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Oversee Specialty Retail Account sales for specific territories with the EVOLV brand
  • Implement national sales strategies within territory under direction of sales management team
  • Provide exceptional level of account support, maintaining high standards for attentiveness and response times
  • Maintain and foster relationships with key staff, buyers, and owners.
  • Attend national sales meetings 2x per year and work collaboratively with other sales representatives
  • Attend all pertinent national and regional trade shows including CWA, OR, WSSRA, GOA, and others.
  • Responsible for sell-in of EVOLV during seasonal cycles
  • Set seasonal sales targets and provide monthly feedback reports
  • Responsible for submitting pre-season and at-once orders, registering accounts for B2B
  • Implement and monitor all designated sell-out responsibilities
  • Contribute to accounts business via regular review and analysis of inventory potential
  • Engage in regular store visits, clinic trainings and climbing shoe demos
  • Place and identify opportunities for point of sale tools
  • Support and assist in planning of co-operative opportunities with Key Specialty accounts
  • Provide market feedback on consistent basis
  • Align closely with internal Dealer and Customer service team members
  • Maintain brand guidelines and drive consistency amongst offline, online, and multi-channel accounts

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Sales or related field

·         Minimum 5 years of proven experience in field sales and brand support

·         Ability to establish strong, professional, working relationships

·         Demonstrated people management skills

·         Proven track record of regular reporting and the ability to articulate recommendations

·         Experience in data-driven decision making

·         Experience with travel and tradeshows, sales planning, inventory forecasting, and budget management

·         Proven project management experience

·         Established ability to work cross-functionally across multiple divisions

·         Strong creative, planning and conceptual skills

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication

·         Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust, resulting in effective working relationships across the company

·         Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary

·         Ability and willingness to travel frequently – domestically and internationally

·         Passion for mountain sports and a specific interest in rock climbing and mountaineering is imperative

 

 

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

 

Technical:

·         Product knowledge of climb, climbing gym, and outdoor categories a plus

·         Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office

 

 

Non-Technical:

·         Proactive self-starter with natural leadership and interpersonal skills

·         Attention to detail/quality/accuracy

·         Exemplary planning and time managements skills

·         Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

·         Ability to work under time pressure and consistently meet deadlines

COMPENSATION


The company offers competitive compensation for the outdoor industry.  This is a commission based position based on contractual obligations as agreed upon between the Sales Agency and Oberalp North America.
