Vail Resorts' retail and rental operations are conducted through Specialty Sports Venture (SSV), a majority owned subsidiary. SSV provides the outdoor industry's best products and service at premier resort locations. Today, SSV operates over 145 year-round and seasonal stores in Colorado, Utah and California, carrying over 40 retail brands specializing in ski, bike, golf and fly fishing products and gear. SSV continues to advance into online services with RentSkis.com, through which a significant amount of ski and snowboard equipment is rented and purchased annually.
