Rutabaga has been in business since 1976 as a brick-and-mortar shop and joined the web in 1996. Our retail location draws from all over the Midwest and beyond. We have been awarded Canoe and Kayak's Retailer of the Year Award 8 Times and in 2010 we were named by Outside Magazine as one of the Top 50 Places to Work in the outdoor industry, one of only three retailers to earn that honor.
