Company Description
SUWS of the Carolinas is a Wilderness Therapy program for at risk children ages 11-17. We are looking for wilderness field instructors to co-leading group of adolescents in the backcountry. We are located just east of Asheville, NC in the Pisgah National Forest. Our students work through a level based curriculum, learning primitive living skills with a focus on communication and emotional development. SUWS creates an environment which allows for the personal growth and success in both students and staff, giving them a solid foundation for future endeavors. We offer flexibility in scheduling. Most of our staff work an 8 day on 6 day off rotation, However we also offer shifts rotations of 4 days on 3 days off and15 days on and 13 days off. We offer competitive wages starting at $116 per day, health insurance, Paid time off, and 401 K.
