Chilkat Guides is a family owned business located in the picturesque town of Haines Alaska. C.G. has been guiding raft trips, hikes, canoe trips and multi-day camping trips since the mid 1970’s and currently offers one day excursions to the world famous Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, the Davidson Glacier and the Chilkoot Trail. In addition to the variety of day trips, Chilkat Guides leads expedition trips down the Tatshenshini and Alsek Rivers. These 10 and 12-day trips begin in the Yukon Territory, travel though British Colombia and end in Glacier Bay National Park. New expedition offerings include the Kongakut River in the Alaska National Wildlife Reserve and custom “create your own” trips. All guided trips focus on the natural beauty, flora and fauna of their respective areas. All guides are trained as naturalists and possess a passion for outdoor life and stewardship of the land.
