OVERVIEW

Feathered Friends is looking for an outgoing, hard working, fun-loving, team player who has sales experience and a love of the outdoors.

At our Seattle shop we sell the finest down sleeping bags and garments, backpacking and climbing gear, and clothing and footwear for outdoor pursuits. We also sell our incredible down comforters and pillows. Our unique combination of outdoor store, bedding store, manufacturer, and customer service center requires individuals comfortable wearing many hats. If you're an outgoing sales associate who can seamlessly switch gears from fitting packs to helping a customer decide which comforter is right for them, we'd love to hear from you! 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet, engage, and listen to customers to help identify their needs
• Guide customers in the selection of premium down goods and outdoor gear by drawing on detailed product knowlege and personal experience
• Maintain current knowledge of the Feathered Friends brand and all items we carry
• Provide outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
• Strive to find viable solutions for customer concerns
• Operate point-of-sales software and basic Office suite
• Participate in keeping the sales floor and back areas clean, appealing, and welcoming
• Follow established company policies, procedures, and objectives
• Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

• Outstanding customer service and sales skills
• Accuracy and accountability
• Ability to prioritize customer interactions amidst multiple projects
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to work through issues in a positive manner
• Proficiency with basic computer systems including Word, Excel, and Email
• Ability to quickly learn new systems
• Familiarity with the outdoor industry and outdoor gear
• Evening and Weekend Availability
