Madly growing and located in Ballard, we are seeking full-time Mobile Ebike Mechanic to join our team. If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are looking to be a part of a dynamic team, this might be the role for you!
This role will work both assembling & approving bikes for safety checks for our customers both locally to Seattle as well as some trips to our Commercial clients across the US. If you’re interested in working in a fully outfitted van helping our customers get back on the road, this might be the role for you!
Why You’re Rad (about you):
- 2+ years of experience with bikes in a formal setting
- Good communication skills, friendly attitude and interest in working with ebike users
- Ability to problem solve in unique situations
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable working in a variety of settings (in-shop, outside and at field locations) as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel around the greater Seattle area during your scheduled shifts
- Ability to travel outside of Seattle up to 20% of the time
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving large vehicles
- Complete accurate logging of inventory and prioritize workload in an expedient manner
- Recording details on prescribed forms in accordance with established procedures.
You get bonus points for:
- Experience with electric bikes or vehicles
- Prior experience working in a service department, performing fleet service or customer-facing role
Had you been with us last month, you would have:
- Learned about the ebike industry to understand the products we offer on a technical level
- Performed bicycle repairs, tuned & fit bikes for customers, and ensured that all safety checks were performed
- Assisted with inventory management of materials, such as bike accessories, tools, spare parts, and other materials as needed for the service van
- Helped to train more junior mechanics and ebike assemblers
- Participated in field service requests from local customers in partnership with our Commercial Sales Division
- Participated in local outreach events and related events with the sales team as needed
- Maintained workshop organization and cleanliness
