Job Description & Requirements
Specific Responsibilities:
- Work with General Manager to interview, hire, and when necessary terminate wranglers
- Develop riding guidelines for wranglers and guests. Implement and enforce these guidelines. Develop safety policies and make sure they are adhered to.
- Teach wranglers and ranch staff policies for working with horses, conducting rides, feeding, and corral maintenance.
- Care and feeding of all ranch horses
- Making lists of daily riding schedules and making sure they are carried out on time and in a professional manner
- Working with General Manager to order hay, feed, replacement tack and buy and sell horses as needed
- Work with General Manager on a daily basis, to keep and follow through with lists of wrangler and guest schedules as well as lists of tasks to be accomplished.
- Portraying a good example of team work to the guests and other co-workers
- Maintaining a gentle, professional, and educational tome at all times when working with both animals and people
- Other duties as assigned
