Job Description & Requirements


Job Title:  Warehouse Manager

Location:  Portland, OR
Summary:   The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient operations of the Korkers warehouse including accurate inventory management, efficient shipping/receiving, and management of warehouse personnel.   

Main Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management

  • Organize, direct and participate in all warehouse activities including:

Shipping

  • Pull, pack and ship orders based on instructions provided on packing lists 
  • Review & follow “standing orders” and special instructions for specific customers
  • Ensure packages are delivered to designated freight carriers on time, and in such a way that merchandise will not be damaged in transit 

Receiving

  • Receive, inventory and deliver to stock all incoming merchandise
  • Log all receiving activities in a computerized inventory system & provide documentation to supervisor
  • Evaluate returned merchandise and resolve all return issues, including processing credits and refunds, warranty replacements, etc. 

Inventory Management

  • Manage stock control: i.e. the receiving, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading, document recording and data entry into ERP
  • Count goods in inventory as a part of ongoing cycle count efforts
  • Maintain housekeeping of the warehouse & surrounding area 
  • Improve & develop warehouse procedures & personnel 
Education/Experience/Requirements:
•      Associate’s degree in related field OR 1-2 years relevant experience
•      Experience with software, including all components of MS Office (primarily Excel), QuickBooks, or other inventory management software
•      Experience with EDI, ASN and Routing requirements with ‘Big Box’ retailers 
•      Familiarity with UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and Stamps.com preferred
•      Knowledge of required export documentation (NAFTA, SED, SLI, BOL etc.)
•      Ability to lift 50+ lbs., and to stand and walk for extended periods
•      Ability to operate a forklift.
