SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

MeatEater is hiring a Social Media Manager to help us continue the rapid expansion of our brand.  The ideal candidate will be able to implement and optimize the Social Media Strategy across all relevant platforms driving strong brand awareness amongst new communities, while building engaging and loyal connections with existing members of our community. Must have a passion for the brand, be keenly in tune with all current and new social platforms and be a self-starter. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a growing brand with lots of meaningful potential.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

=      Daily management of all current Social Media Platforms

o  Publishing of all content

o  Overview of daily performance and analytics of the content

o  Development and maintenance of social media content calendar

o  Tagging and organization of all content published

o  Management of social content publishing platform

=      Community Management

o  Management of all in-bound comments and inquiries across platforms

o  Comment and engagement management across all platforms

=      Social Content Strategy & Development

o  Partner with Chief Marketing Officer and relevant contributors on the content team to identify and develop new content concepts optimal for social to deliver against the KPI’s

=      Maintain Social Analytics            

o  Work closely with data & analytics team to monitor and establish close tracking of performance by platform

o  Use data and analytics to infuse go-forward social approach to optimize performance

=      Social Content capture

o  Film and edit social only content

=      Social Content Storage & Organization

o  Manage and organize all social content

=      Provide Social Strategy and Execution Support to in-house forward-facing personalities

=      Paid Social Strategy

o  Help support execution and management of paid social strategy

=      Strategic Partnerships      

o  Align with the partnerships team to identify and implement collaborations with likeminded organizations across social to help drive exposure and growth

 

REQUIREMENTS:

=      Minimum of 2-3 years of Social Media experience in a relevant industry

=      Strong communication and writing skills

=      Proficiency as a ‘preditor’ with shooting and editing skills

=      Strong understanding of the hunt, fish, and outdoor community, and how to navigate these verticals

=      Passion for social media and new media outlets and content distribution

=      Customer service mindset to create a strong interactive dynamic with customers on social

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

=      Passion for and experience in hunting, fishing, cooking and conservation

=      Desire and ability to thrive and drive progress in a start-up environment
