Charlotte Cycles is actively seeking:
A bike technician who is mechanically inclined, knowledgeable, organized, and ready to learn more about servicing cyclist equipment of all kinds. Our ideal candidate will also have strong communication skills, deliver exceptional customer service, and feel comfortable shifting gears between a service writer and repair technician.
Primary roles & expectations:
= Service and repair all kinds of bicycles, e-bikes, and recumbent trikes up to the complete tune level (Frame-up Builds)
= Communicate with customers (in-person, phone, and email) and answer questions regarding the maintenance and operation of their bike(s)
= Commitment to regularly completing and practicing the training modules to keep knowledge and skills current in all things relevant to our bike shop.
= Keep accurate customer accounts and proficiently work on a computer to build workorders.
= Effectively communicate with both coworkers and customers.
= Balance the need for efficiency with the demand for quality.
= Describe recommended services during service check-ins/writing.
= Actively participate in local outreach events and demo days
= Have a valid driver’s license (to be qualified to drive our shop vans as needed)
= Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
= 3+ years of bike shop service experience
= Highly attuned to all needs of the store and willing to be involved in all aspects when necessary.
= Ability to work 30-40 hour work weeks
= Minimum 12-month commitment
