Job Description & Requirements
Human Resources Generalist and Office Manager – Denver, CO (Hybrid in-office & remote work)
Experience/Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
• At least 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist
• At least 1 year of full-cycle recruiting experience
• Experience working directly with executive teams
• Experience with COVID related HR policies and decision making
• Experience maintaining office supplies and management of admin duties
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage all day-to-day Human Resources for Topo Designs and own and manage all office-related administration. Guide managers in recruiting and employee relations. Administer employee compensation, training, and benefit programs. Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations. Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as onboarding, staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
Human Resources: General:
• Ownership of compliance records regarding employee paper and electronic HR files and related documentation as well as the integrity of the HRIS database
• Be responsible for ensuring accurate job descriptions and competitive wages for employees
Recruiting:
• Ongoing active candidate search and recruiting process for all Topo Designs departments and all exempt and non-exempt positions
• If necessary, manage the recruiting agencies who recruit on behalf of Topo Designs
• Resume review, initial phone screen, and interview set up for necessary roles across
• Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all regulations - including compensation and benefits
• Proven track record with being timely and highly communicative in the recruitment process
Benefits:
• Work with Topo Designs PEO (ADP HRIS) and benefits provider during open enrollment - ability to make benefit selections and decisions with knowledge around benefit plans
• Ongoing benefit updates and communications
• Research and resolve benefits questions and concerns
• Process all unemployment benefits/ claims and questionnaire responses through the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment
• Administration of company leave programs
• Responsible for federal and state required filing and OSHA log and reporting, record keeping
OnBoarding and OffBoading:
• Own the process of bringing on new hires, new hire orientation, and documentation; work with each department on their new hire training packets; maintain a checklist
• Own the process of oboarding employees due to voluntary or involuntary terminations
Payroll:
• Run biweekly payroll for all Topo Designs employees
• Run monthly commissions; activity allowance payouts and other special payroll inputs
Performance Management:
• Manage and own the entire Quarterly Review process for Topo Designs
• Ensure completion and follow up with areas of concerns brought up within teams
Employee Relations:
• Work with upper management and the executive team on return to work and COVID-19 policies
• Administer various human resource plans and procedures; assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; prepare and maintain internal documents such has the employee handbook; PTO policies, etc.
• Build and maintain company culture through company events and communication - full ownership of scheduling all-company events i.e, all-company meetings, monthly lunch and learns, BBQ, holiday parties, coordinating ski passes, camping sites, etc.
• Manage employee offerings (product allowance, activity allowance)
• Birthday and anniversary celebrations
• Create and administer employee training programs
Office Management Administration:
• Own all office/employee-related access (keys, badging, etc.)
• Facilities management including contact for cleaning crews, coffee bar stocking, water, snacks, organization of office, and overall good vibes
• Reach out to our neighbors for gear trades, pro deals, etc
Skills, Competencies, and Systems:
• ADP Total Source; ADP Payroll
• Benefits & Compensation, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, Full-Cycle Recruiting, Hiring, Performance Management
• PayScale Compensation System a plus
• Working knowledge of Google Sheets and MS Excel
