Summary:
Revved Industries, the parent company of Guerrilla Gravity, is the bike industry’s newest and most advanced carbon fiber operation. The company is driven to make a simpler, less impactful, and more ecologically responsible manufacturing process and product designs. We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to take the lead in developing a Quality Management System and drive overall process quality improvement throughout the facility.
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in chemical, manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Quality experience
- New Product Launch experience preferred
- Advanced Product Quality Planning experience
- Quality Management System implementation and/or maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engineering Change Management:
- Own and lead the Engineering Change Management process; work with the cross-functional team to identify engineering changes, scope the activities required, and drive the activities to completion
Advanced Product Quality Planning:
- Drive activities that contribute to high quality in new product development
- Complete process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans and other APQP tools
- Complete Measurement Systems Analysis for all measuring instruments & systems
- Implement calibration process for all measuring instruments & systems
- Lead new product containment and inspection activities to ensure shipment of quality product
- Lead development of an internal Quality Lab for testing and measuring product
Current Product Support:
- Lead disciplined problem solving activities for internal and external quality issues
- Inspect and/or measure current product as defined in the control plan
- Assist the cross-functional team with activity related to warranty issues
Process improvements:
- Use internal audit as a tool to identify and implement process improvements related to quality
- Lead implementation of a Quality Management System that conforms to ISO 9001:2015
- Support the cross-functional team with any improvements that impact quality
- Lead standardization of processes throughout the facility
- Define quality standards for all stages of the manufacturing process
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible in the working environment
- Ability to collaborate digitally as needed if not on site
- Ability to develop a plan with relevant engineering and manufacturing teams
- Strength in completing designs in a timely fashion, implementing the project with the planned level of improvement seen in the results
- Ability to wear lots of hats in a small company environment
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Has good instincts--when you suggest approaches that nobody on the team has thought of, it immediately strikes everyone as obvious
- Attention to detail in everything you do with an obsession with quality, organization, and efficiency
- Lean manufacturing experience & understanding
- Experience with APQP (Process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc)
- Extensive experience with Quality Management Systems
- Experience defining and executing MSA
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
The salary range for this position is ??$65,000 - $75,000 per year depending on education and experience.
