Castle Hot Spring is 45 minutes north of Phoenix near Lake Pleasant in a wild and beautiful section of the Sonoran desert. We are a luxury resort with a maximum of 68 guests.

Job Description:
The primary goal of this position is to facilitate safe, meaningful, and quality outdoor experiences for our guests. Castle Hot Springs is one of the leading resorts in America. We are looking for candidates to be a part of this exciting team and amazing property. Two years of guiding and or outdoor education is required. Past experience leading groups or clients in the outdoors is required. Resort experience is preferred but not required. This is an outdoor guide position with an emphasis on a broad range of outdoor activities. Via Ferrata, climbing, e-biking, hiking, and narrative tours are just some of the adventures that we provide. Interpersonal and clear communication skills are essential. Dependability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required. An ability to be flexible with scheduling and daily duties. Experience in climbing, rope systems, or rope rescue while not required should be highlighted on your resume or application. We can train the right candidate in some of these skill sets; however, past guiding experience is a requirement.
Work Performed:
Delivers a guest experience that is of the highest level of service by utilizing resources and cross-departmental communication.
Training will be provided in specific CHS activities and adventures. Ability to multitask and gain a thorough knowledge of all activities and adventures offered, including Via Ferrata, climbing, hiking, and E-Bikes.
Work collaboratively with fellow guides and management.
Operates in accordance with the Castle Hot Springs Vision.
Completes daily assigned checklists and job duties with a sense of urgency.
Records all defects and provides solutions to ensure guest satisfaction with all departments by utilizing full-circle customer service, especially when requests are not immediately met.
Ability to support all CHS safety and emergency procedures and policies.
Must have own transportation, and a shuttle service is available.
Supervision Received: Adventure and Activities Director and General Manager.
Responsibilities and Authorities:
Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of CHS information at all times
Requires independent decision-making and deductive reasoning abilities
A large amount of communication and coordination with other departments
Minimum Requirements:
2 + years of outdoor recreation work is a baseline requirement. Climbing experience and the ability to work at height. Current Advanced First Aid (WFA) or preferably Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification. AMGA, SPRAT or EMT certification is a strong consideration and will warrant additional compensation. Basic computer skills are required, which will be supported with training.
