Job Description & Requirements
Vista Outdoor Sporting Products is seeking a Product Line Manager for Remington Shooting Accessories. This individual will be responsible for managing the product assortment and all aspects of product development, from concept to commercialization.
This position reports to the Global Product Lane Director of Shooting Accessories and is based out of our Anoka, MN or Lonoke, AR offices.
As the Product Manager, you'll have the opportunity to:
Identify and work with vendors on new product development
Lead consumer research
Generate consumer insights to drive new product development
Direct Ideation and Concept development/testing
Develop and manage 3 year new product roadmap
Deliver annual new product sales launch and sales targets
Spec new products (features, cost/pricing, etc)
Develop critical path schedules
Coordinate development/testing with contract manufacturing & suppliers
Conduct required research and business analysis
Monitor performance/trends of key competitors & retailers
Develop line strategies and launch schedule
Validate with sales & international subsidiaries
Support Product Launch by coordinating development of packaging and other collateral material with Marketing Communications and supporting development of product catalog and marketing materials
Provide sales support by conducting product workshops at annual Sales Conferences, provide ongoing product training participate in key account calls when necessary, create derivatives/SMU’s and “special programs” for key accounts, participate in key trade shows
Facilitate ongoing Product Line Management/Maintenance by tracking and analyzing sales and profitability of new and existing products, proactively manage inventory (excess, backorders, etc), assist in product forecasting and production planning
Minimum BS; MBA a plus
Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand leadership, at a consumer product brand or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience working in a product management capacity within the hunting and shooting industry.
Strong user of hunting and shooting products (must be passionate and knowledgeable of the category).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
Proven experience pertaining to gaining market share in highly competitive environment.
Ability to develop innovative products based on consumer insights.
