Job Summary:

The Director of Sales & Merchandising/National Account Manager is responsible for driving the profitable sales growth for a well-established Outerwear company. Other responsibilities include formulating sales plans and incentive strategies, achieving efficient and effective sales results, and developing new sales territories while growing the retailer customer base. This individual directs the activities of sales staff to perform to sales plans and standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·         Lead implementation of overall sales strategies and develop a sales plans designed to capture market share, develop new customer relationships, and generate incremental business that exceeds sales goals

·         Lead internal sales reps and external territory reps 

·         Responsible for overall Sales Empowerment which includes training and development, CRM tools, field sales communications and account management efficiencies

·         Develop and build deep meaningful relationships with strategic retailers and buy group partners.

·         Achieves margin objectives by providing input on pricing strategy for all products and markets with the goal of achieving margin objectives established.

·         Tracks specific customer profitability, promotional allowances, and terms to meet the company’s objectives.

·         Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Design/Development and Operations frequently to meet goals, as well as cost, delivery, and commercial viability objectives.

·         Expand geographic footprint developing international strategies and relationships

·         Establish and build a dealer/distributor network to optimize retailer footprint in the US and Canada.
