Location: Greater Los Angeles Area (initially remote w/ scheduled in-person meetups, eventually hybrid)

Job Description: 

 

In this role, you will serve as primary support for the production team in managing the development of apparel collections, communicating with factories, ensuring on-time product delivery, negotiating costs, issuing purchase orders, and upholding quality standards.

 

Specific tasks include:

 

• Issue purchase orders to vendors

• Request and review weekly WIP reports from vendors; flag any risks to on-time delivery

• Work with Design on sourcing & onboarding new vendors

• Work with Design on sourcing and developing new fabrics and trims

• Work with Design to develop and maintain tech packs throughout the development process

• Maintain and manage build of materials for product assortment.

• Maintain excellent relationships with vendors through frequent, professional communication

• Manage sample requests and organization throughout development process (including protos, wear testing, and marketing/sales samples)

• Maintain database of all product details, costing, etc. for anything in development

• Track product testing reports and documentation 

• Oversee care and content labeling 

• Work cross-functionally to manage communication regarding timelines, due dates, costing, and delivery dates

 

Qualifications:

 

• At least 2 years of experience in apparel product development role, preferably in outdoor industry

• Expert in Google Suite, especially Sheets and Docs, and Adobe Suite

• Proficient in Excel

• Excellent cross-functional communication with internal and external partners

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & prioritize deadlines based on overall company goals

• Proven experience building tech packs

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
