Job Description & Requirements

JOB SUMMARY
This position has the overall responsibility for all accounting operations including collecting, processing, analyzing, and presenting datapoints that provide support for identifying risks and/or opportunities for the business. This includes, but is not limited to, financial data and operational data.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls.
3. Responsible for coordinating annual financial reviews and/or audits for both internal and external organizations.
4. Support finance department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning, and implementation, as needed.
5. Ensure global tax compliance, working with external tax advisors as needed.
6. Oversee Accounts Payable including the preparation of biweekly accounts payable check run.
7. Support in identifying KPIs, setting baseline expectations based on historical analysis. Create frequent reporting that helps drive the identification of risks and opportunities throughout the company.
8. Support the Company with overall forecasting and budgeting, enforcing compliance through monthly budget vs actual reporting to department managers.
9. Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, supporting the quarterly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis.
10. Coordinate with Cost Accounting on operations cost and general ledger results regarding variance analysis.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
11. Continuous improvement and business processes work with other disciplines to identify opportunities for business process or data system improvements in a continuous effort to improve accuracy, efficiency, speed, and ease-of-use
12. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
13. Adhere and uphold all Company policies and procedures.
14. Follow all procedures as they pertain to this position.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This job has supervisory responsibilities over exempt and non-exempt support staff. This is a full-time position; days and hours of work for full-time are either Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day or a 9/80 schedule (4 days @ 9 hours and 1 day @ 8 hours with every other Friday off). Regular onsite attendance is expected. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (R) = Required (P) = Preferred (Equivalent combinations will be considered)
(R) Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting business, or other related area of study.
(P) Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
(R) 8+ years of experience in a financial/accounting in a manufacturing environment.
(R) Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
(R) Ability to use a computer/tablet/keyboard.
(P) Proficient in SAP ByDesign (or similar ERP system).
(R) Manufacturing experience.
(R) Ability to read/write/speak English.

PHYSICAL / VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to work in a typical office environment as well as occasionally travel into the warehouse/manufacturing facility.
• Requires sitting for long periods of time at a keyboard in an office environment but can also require standing, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching to perform the functions of this position.
• Must be able to safely lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
