Job Description & Requirements
Essential Functions
- Acting as a cross-functional leader to unite the organization in achieving business goals.
- Designing and leading comprehensive product line strategies for targeted industries, including identifying opportunities, market needs, product roadmap, and sales potential.
- Ensuring the entire company understands the product vision and direction.
- Articulating actionable opportunities and insights gathered through research, consumer testing, and observations.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define and prioritize opportunities.
- Serving as the global expert on targeted industries, maintaining current knowledge of consumers, markets, and competition.
- Leading innovation that aligns with and supports brand values.
- Developing strategies for product, pricing, market entry, and product management from strategy through post-launch evaluation to meet corporate objectives for revenue, profit, and brand.
- Staying ahead of industry trends with an insatiable curiosity.
- Applying business acumen to maximize the units sold, revenue, and profit from existing categories while supporting brand values.
- Staying abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies through continuous education and professional development.
Education and Experience
- Must live within daily driving distance of corporate headquarters located in Portland, Oregon.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, and an MBA or a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Product Management, or Entrepreneurship is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible product marketing and project management experience.
- Extensive experience in product management, including roles like Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, or Director of Product Management. Product Development experience/knowledge is beneficial.
- Strong track record of leadership, high level of analytical thinking, ability to build collaborative partnerships cross-functionally, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Mastery of the product life cycle and roadmap creation process, ability to determine team Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and strong leadership and coaching skills.
