BICYCLE TECHNICIAN  

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

At Brian’s Bike Shop we offer quality bicycle repair service that is driven by the goal to not only perform repair service but share knowledge and educate customers when we can. We offer products that we truly stand behind not stuff our dealer agreement requires us to carry.  Our approach to bicycle repair service is about providing the best expert repair service, without attitude and sharing knowledge whenever is possible.

 

We are looking for a people who are willing aren’t afraid of hard work and are willing to deliver quality service with a friendly, helpful disposition.  If you like bikes, have experience repairing bicycles, are teachable and can use your knowledge assist our customers, you may be a good fit for our shop.   Among the team the Bicycle Tech is an important position delivering what we as a bicycle shop promise. The Bicycle Tech is relied upon for his/her bicycle expertise, excellence, high standards and a heightened level of time management and accountability is expected. The Bicycle Tech’s primary responsibilities include customer repairs, bicycle tune up packages, bike builds and, in some cases mobile drop off and pick up of bicycles. The bicycle mechanic’s job is very important as we depend on well serviced bicycle repairs to make the customer’s experience optimal. The bicycle mechanic reports to the owner, but is expected to be proactive and able to manage his or her own time and responsibilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bicycle Tech at Brian’s Bike Shop offers reliable, honest, and exemplary technical service while remaining profitable.  Mechanics ensure customers feel comfortable in a possibly intimidating environment.

·       Repair, check, and fix bikes following the highest standards and quality.

·       Perform repairs on customer bicycles, recommend, set and complete deadlines.

·       Take notes of all the works done on bikes + update the database.

·       Keep the inventory of the workshop updated.

·       Keep the bench and the workshop clean.

·       Provide feedback about bicycles and recommend service, accessories and bicycles to carry in shop.

·       Pick-up and delivery of bicycle repairs and/or rentals.

·       Be customer service oriented and personable as you are the face of our company when you deliver rental bicycles.

·       Assist with related material (such as bicycle accessories, tools, tour preparation materials) and inventory management as needed.

·       Provide recommendations on parts, service and other shop related operations.
