Job Title: Field Technical Representative – Outdoor Wholesale Industry
Location: Southern California - some Northern CA events
Reports To: Principal Sales Rep
Employment Type: Part-Time
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a driven and knowledgeable part-time Field Technical Representative to support our dealer and wholesale partners in the outdoor industry. In this role, you’ll serve as the go-to expert on product knowledge, technical training, and after-sales support, helping our partners succeed while representing our brands with professionalism and passion for the outdoors.
Key Responsibilities:

Product Training & Education:
Deliver engaging in-person product training sessions to retail staff, buyers, and wholesale partners. -
Field Support:
Visit retail and wholesale partners regularly to provide technical assistance, merchandising support, and product expertise. -
Technical Expertise:
Act as a key resource for troubleshooting product issues, understanding new technologies, and communicating feedback from the field. -
Relationship Building:
Develop strong relationships with accounts, understanding their business needs and helping them maximize sell-through and customer satisfaction. -
Event Representation:
Attend trade shows, demo days, clinics, and other events to represent the brand and support sales initiatives. -
Market Intelligence:
Monitor trends in the outdoor industry, competitor activity, and customer feedback, sharing insights with internal teams to support product development and sales strategy.
Qualifications:

2–4 years of experience in a technical, sales, or support role within the outdoor, sporting goods, or wholesale industry

Strong understanding of outdoor gear, equipment, and customer needs in the wholesale/retail environment

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to travel frequently (including nights and weekends as needed)

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in the field

Passion for the outdoors – hiking, climbing, biking, skiing, or whatever gets you outside!
Bonus Skills:

Experience with visual merchandising or retail management
-
Background in customer service or technical support
-
Familiarity with POS or inventory systems is a plus
