Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Manager manages the Shimano North American Bike division OTC Sales with major organizational impact. Ideally someone who is well positioned in the industry can understand Shimano, our needs, our culture.
As one of the top members of an organization, a Senior Sales Manager is tasked with managing multiple departments, staff and projects. This means having extensive knowledge of the industry, finances and employee output while understanding and striving to meet the company’s strategic goals, mission, values and beliefs. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
Job Responsibility Scope:
Develop and execute comprehensive mid and long-term strategic omni channel business plans based on company goals. This position is tasked with creating dynamic mid and long-term sales plans that further our market leadership, growth and overall performance.
This position is required to be a strong collaborator, coach, leader and be highly self-directed and motivated. To effectively lead the team, this position is required to spend a significant portion of time in the field both with individual accounts and co-traveling with sales team members.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Establish sales objectives in coordination with Shimano’s business plan and lead the sales team to achieve these goals
· Develop and execute on market and target customer strategies for the Shimano brand
· Coordinate all Rep focused activities related to sell-in and sell-through of all brands
· Build Sales planning templates; maintain sales forecasts, territory reporting, and seasonal budgets
· Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales forecasts for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
· Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans
· Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
· Gain agreement and approval on business planning, forecast development, financial projections, and other special programs as necessary
· Maintain healthy financial performance through strict expense management
· Participate and lead global projects/initiatives
· Work collaboratively with Product, Go to Market, and Supply Chain groups
· Ensure each team is progressing daily toward all necessary goals
· Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
· 10+ years of experience in sales role, including 7+ years leading a sales team
· Experience managing sales reps and/or external sales rep agencies.
· Must have strong experience in project management and budgeting
· Experience working in a global organization is preferred
· Must have strong financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and leadership skills.
· Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics
· Strong experience in setting KGI and KPIs and evaluating them
· Great organizational and leadership skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in an organized and professional manner. Strong presentation skills
· Ability to utilize judgment in decision making processes and decisions related to job tasks
· Ability to manage a team of individuals including creating performance reviews and goals
· Ability to work with teams. Effectively establish and maintain working relationship with all levels within the company, internally, externally and cross culturally
· Experience working with ERP platform and Salesforce CRM
· Microsoft Office proficiency
· Must be willing and able to travel
Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
