Posting Description & Requirements

Cutlery manufacturer’s representative specialized in selling to outdoor sporting goods, fishing, hunting, shooting, and hardware accounts nationwide.    

Must have adequate transportation, ability to lift 50 lbs., Schedule & service existing customer base, merchandise displays, and maintain communication with dealers and manufacturer.

Responsibilities

·        This role primarily services existing customer sales accounts and develops new sales opportunities in the territory. Develop strong relationships with customers by providing best in class customer service through product placement, inventory management and maximized profitability.

·        Train retailers and store associates in the technical aspects of products to provide them with the confidence and tools necessary to sell our products over the competition.

·        Analyze retail businesses to find opportunities for growth via new products, knowing your competition and winning market share by creating and developing plans to drive sales.

·        Frequent verbal and written communication with customers and manufacturer, including frequent onsite visits about orders, problem resolution, marketing to achieve sales objectives.

·        Work closely with management to achieve strategic plan objectives.

·        Frequently service existing display accounts by scheduling quarterly visits, taking physical inventory, organizing back-stock, and writing & entering orders via company electronic order writer. 


Qualifications
 

·        Demonstrated experience in selling to the outdoor industry via outdoor sporting goods, fishing and/or hunting, shooting sports, and hardware.

·        Highly motivated self-starter that is organized and able to work independently.

·        Demonstrated success in sales highly preferred.

·        Must be able to effectively present sales plans and results to management and customers.

·        Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point; and reporting and analytics experience preferred.
